Hmm, thought I'd sent this to everyone, but I guess I didn't. What is the weather like? The weather is moist, though occasionally sunny. We had bad luck on the Scottish leg of the journey and had snow and big wind and sleet and total shite weather-wise. The sun only came out when I was at my castle. If that is not a sign from the gods, I don't know what is. London generally has nicer weather than Northern England. How is the pollution Definite air pollution problem and lots of litter along the train lines, though I don't notice it much now. Vicki and I might be going down to Blackpool on the weekend which has the most radioactive sea in the world. (Although that doesn't include some Russian seas which haven't been tested). Is there a big heroin problem I'm not sure about the heroin problem though I did encounter some beautiful people who were stoned on some designer drug. What about William Wallace, is he a potential threat to the lowland English gits William Wallace is no longer a threat. The English hung him and had him drawn and quartered. Then they put his head on display at the city of London and his each of his four quarters on display at cities in the four corners of England. Vicki's friend Ian might be a potential threat though. He's a Scot we were drinking with last night and he seems to be a fervent nationalist ready at any moment to take up a broadsword and start lopping off heads. Though, to be honest, I think your average football hooligan could deal with him in short order. Note of historical, self-aggrandizing historical interest: A Douglas (my ancestor) was the first Scottish nobleman to support William Wallace. What about the little people Haven't seen any little people. Though in general, the population seems a bit shorter than in Canada. Do sheep wander across the university common dressed in women's clothing, if not, why There are many sheep visible from Vicki's window. If I had thought to bring my shotgun we'd have good eating without ever having to go down to Sainsbury's. I haven't seen any on the common, though. And I've seen absolutely none wearing women's clothing. I suspect it all goes back to the problem of the lack of opposable thumbs. Have you run into Stephen Hawkings yet Nope. He's in Cambridge and I haven't made it over there yet. I did go to Oxford , though. Will be writing about that adventure shortly. Have you run across any fantastic business opportunities over there? What about planting trees in Europe, or does it fail to have that rustic, bear-infested, middle-of-nowhere feel and is too dull Have not run across any business opportunites yet. I should really get to work on that. Are you ready to sell the house and pop over to join me in some potentially massive wealth generating enterprise Dutifully yours, Chris
