This is a church in Crosthwaite. It's right next to a pub called the PunchBowl Inn where that evening we had one of the best meals on our trip. Very tasty vittles at the Punchbowl. I can't remember exactly what I had, but the bill came to £ 32.60. That was with a half-litre of the house red, two coffees, two brandies, and £ 20.50 worth of some kind of food. I've got the receipt in front of me as I write this but that is all the info I can glean from it. It's an expensive country to eat out in, this shattered, once-glorious empire.
