Docking Difficulty
We rented this boat while we were there but the damn thing was much harder to steer than you might think. That, and the fact it was a volcanic island caused us a bit of difficulty. Volcanic island are pretty firm -- no give in them. I'm more used to muddy river bottoms up in the muskegy north of the Liard. There if you run a boat up on to a sand bar you can pretty much rock it off somehow. Not here though. I stepped away from the wheel for just a second and "Bang! there we were. Damage deposit down the toilet." Oh well.
