About this site

I’ve had a website of some description since 1998. Most of what I write are just personal ramblings that would be of interest to no one but my mother. But, like many people, I do have a mother, so I suppose that’s my excuse. Whatever the motivations, I occasionally get an urge to write something and put it in front of people. Some of it is fictional. Little of it is useful. None of it reflects the opinions of my employers. And an awful lot of it is silly.

Some of it is about cycling. Some of it is about travelling. Some of it is about work.

About me

I am a Canadian ex-pat born in the sixties now living in London, England. I spent eleven years of my life planting trees in Northern Alberta, B.C., and Ontario. I followed my wife to England during the dotcom boom and have been working at the BBC in new media ever since.
